Willow Tree
A very old willow tree
Decades or Centuries old
Stood near the pond
A weeping willow tree
Bent out of shape
There is a soft sound from the tree
As the gentle breeze
Flows through the abundant leaves
Hanging downwards like
Like the tree is weeping
Looking old and aged
Bent out of shape
Yet, still standing
A reminder, about trusting God
Seasons come, Seasons go
Afflictions come, Afflictions go
So do good time
And bad times
Stand strong regardless
And even if bent over in pain
Or in frustration, stand firm
God himself will lift you up
He will also keep you up
As He does the Willow Tree
